The fastest growing and largest section of Carrick Rugby Club (CRFC), is the Mini & Youth section. Since the club reformed in 2005, the Mini/Youth section has grown from strength to strength. 
The Mini/youth section in particular has always strived to ensure that every child that joins will be accepted into the club and guaranteed to train and play a game every week, nobody gets left out!!
All of the Coaches who give up their free time every week, complete IRFU approved Coaching courses and are/have been vetted with Connaught Rugby Branch and An Garda Síochána.
In the last few years, the CRFC Minis have travelled to many places including Westport, Ballina, Sligo, Creggs, Ballaghaderreen, Claremorris, Athlone and are a tough match for any of these established clubs.
Every March, each age group plays in an IRFU Connaught Blitzes. Although non competitive, every team there wants to win their challenge games.
