Aoife is from Cloone originally and had not played any team sports since national school and came to the club through their annual Tag Rugby tournament. Among her rugby honours are competed in Connacht Invitational Cup final in 2012 and Connacht League semi-final in 2014. Aoife was also part of the team that won the Invitational shield final in 2014.
As well as being one of Carrick women’s longest serving players Aoife has also been the Hon. Club Secretary since 2012 and has been involved in a number of fundraising initiatives throughout that period. She also holds a level 1 coaching certificate and coaches the U11s minis.
When not playing rugby Aoife plays football with Gortletteragh LGF and enjoys swimming, cycling and reading.
