Carrick Ladies Rugby team is the newest to join the club’s ranks. Established in 2008 and team has grown from just a handful of players to a squad of over 25, a trend which continues and highlights the increasing interest in ladies rugby within the region.
The team currently play in the Connacht development league, making huge inroads in 2011/2012 and finishing 2nd in their league with a looming semi final date on the cards.
Success is always very well celebrated by the ladies, their ‘work hard/play hard’ philosophy ensures theres never a dull moment!
The ladies are always looking for new recruits, young or old, tall or small, despite common misconception rugby is a game for all! So if you have an interest in giving it a go please contact us today.
It is with great pride and honour that I represent the ladies team this year.
This season promises to be memorable not only for the rugby that we endeavour to play but also for the camaraderie that we enjoy as a team.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognise all our committees, volunteers, supporters and sponsors for their unwavering commitment to the club for which we are eternally grateful.
Finally I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and existing members and supporters alike and I trust that the ladies section will provide some tantalising rugby for your enjoyment.
