Carrick Women concluded their Connacht Invitational Cup campaign last night away to Tuam with the home side coming through on a scoreline of 38-12. Congrats to Tracy McDonagh and Noelle McGuinness who made their rugby debuts for Carrick last night, just two of 10 players that have joined the club having never played before!
Reforming last year but with insufficient numbers to play competitively a core group of players persevered and today Carrick women have an 18 strong panel. Progress in rugby is often measured on results and whilst Carrick’s haven’t come in the form of wins their grit, determination and unwillingness to give up is a result they can be very proud of.
